Hothouse Talk – Abram Games

Abram Games was a British graphic designer born in Whitechapel in 1914.

His daughter Naomi Games presented, speaking passionately about her fathers work and strong character. Always standing his ground on any and every occasion, always getting what he wanted even if it meant waiting for months.

He had some great quotes, namely… “if i don’t think of six ideas on a journey then it’s a wasted journey”, “Maximum meaning, minimum means”, “something has to work small before it will work big”, and lastly “don’t forget the three Cs; Courage. Concentration and Curiosity”.

Here is a link to his website, where you can view galleries and find out more about his practice 🙂

He also made the first ever moving BBC emblem
