Pick Me Up at Somerset House

Blog, Visits, Visual Communication

Yesterday we went and checked out Pick Me Up: Graphics Arts Festival at Somerset House.

To put it simply, it was pretty incredible.

From showcasing contemporary illustrators and graphic artists, to stalls and shops for printing press companies, practitioners, frame makers, and onto typographic workshops.

Oh and an exhibit of Alan Kitching’s work.

Unfortunately it is only on until the 2nd May, but go if you can!

Lots of notable people to look up and get into, namely: Aart-Jan Venama, Alice Bowsher, Marie Jacotey, Corin Kenington, George Douglas, Felicity Marshall, Claire Powell and Hattie Press

Here are some appalling photos I took on my terrible phone…

Overall great displays, great interactive pieces and great inspiring work.
