Applications Day 1

Applications, Blog, Core Workshops, Visual Communication

On Monday we started Applications with Ricardo. Starting off with Photoshop. He took us through everything from the basics of creating a new page to the difference between Vector editing and Bitmap.

We also had a look at Adobe Colors for examples of colour palettes and as a good point of reference for creating colour schemes for designs.

Resulting in designing a simple idea for a business card. Front and back.

We were then given a brief to make an A3 poster, based around the idea of the clenched fist.

After thinking about different ideas and approaches, I decided to go along to route of Ocean conservation.

With that in mind I went to work on making the poster. First getting reference material from the internet, as well as images to cut up for the collage.

I then finished off them both the day after. Using indian ink to colour the white paper in black, creating a black border around the maroon board.
